Few years ago on this exact day I was rushed to hospital and the tears of my children and mercy of Allah I kissed death but came back. Being very competitive I had a sporting accident and the complications eventually resulted a massive cardiac infarction with my LAD being entirely blocked. A PCI procedure involving entry through my wrist saved my life. I nursed my health back and despite suffering some heart scaring [tissue death through oxygen starvation] I fought to get my body back in prime fitness.

Today I am almost 90% as fit as I was in my forties and probably more fitter then 95% of age group - 55. I did 6 miles jog/walk yesterday and as a rule do 2.5 miles a day come rain, snow or sun.

Last month I was cleared for doing weighlifting so I have begun that with zest. I first built up by doing press ups at 20, 10, 7, 3 then doing the sets again later when muscles have recovered. I aim to do 60 a day. I was rather disullsioned when I found USMC do 300 a day - I am following their fitness programme. When I have pumped up I will post some pictures here. The only problem is it's proving to be hell of job getting rid of the blubber pad on my abdomen - it's not much but it is still visible when I take my shirt off [any advice from amatuerrs/experts welcome].

Below is my right hand wrist. If you look at the red circle you can see the crescent shaped scar left from the cut the doctors did to perform the PCI - which involved threading a wire through this cut into the artery, along the arm, into the chest and finally the heart to open the blockage. Of course I am also gratefull to the NHS, doctors, nurses, paramedics who rushed me to hospital with sirens blazing.

Moral of the story. Fight adversity whatever it is. Never give up. Persevere and count every day you spend with your dear ones as a blessing.

Ps. I will keep you guys posted on how the weightlifting is going on.

Recently my cousin sis went for operation now we are waiting for her body from hospital, due to post Mortem (i think that what it is called). This is why i cant trust doctors. Her young children think, she is alive in hospital. Family member are saying they put in camera and this allowed air to get in her body, and she got blood cloth in the head and never woke up.

No bro UK. This is not first time my relatives have died due to doctor mistake.
Are you sure it was doctors fault? If you think that I would suggest to you take legal action. It's not the compensation that matters, if you win you can always donate it to some good cause in Pakistan. But legal action makes the professionals concerned accountable and helps to expose them thus helping to save others who might also fall to their incompetence.

But it's not easy figuring out negligence from "act of god". Are you sure it was negligence?

Pakistani people eat all sort of unhealthy foods and are often lazy in making walking, running ,cycling and gym as their habit or routine which is very important in this age of technology where physical activity is minimum. Life is blessing and we should look after it as long as we are alive . Purpose of life is not just eating , sleeping and earning money by working like bull

My god! What exactly happened to her? What kind of operation they performed ?
If you think it was doctor's mistake you should sue them ,even Michael Jackson died due to medical negligence,it hapohap all the time
If You lost a loved one due to their mistakes make sure to destroy their medical careers

Its good to hear that you recovered and are living the life to the fullest.
Please tell us about what exactly happened and what were the complexions?
Did you suffer from coronary artery disease before?
2.5 miles a day is great!
Your sportsman spirit is worth appraisal
If you want to get rid of blabber pad you should try green tea with Himalayan honey and some lime juice in the morning
They usually do this procedure from the veins in crotch area ,because veins this area are thick

No. Non in family either.

Had a accident. Broke leg. A clot developed that caused the complication ...

Thank you. As a interesting tit-bit the surgeon who carried out the PCI through wrist was Indian. So I owe my life to a Indian !

Will try but if this works I will be surprised. That darned pad - it's not that large but is annoying. Just about 1.5 cm and spread around the navel area. I know this is the fruits of middle age but still ...

Well, they did mine through the wrist. You can see the crescent shaped tiny scar - a permanent reminder of my brush with death.

I was just about concious when they were preparing me in the theatre with all the gowned figures hovering over me. They applied what must have been antiseptic on my chest and I felt real cold almost freezing. My thought was "oh my they gonna cut open my chest. I am gonna end up looking like Frankenstien".

You know you have fear. Then there is absolute fear. Well I broke the fear barrier. I was like at point beyond fear. A amazing floating, relaxed feeling but thoughts of my children spoiling the experiance ...

Its not about being rich and poor because i have been to village and they put so much salt and oil in food and dont ask about sugar in tea ..eat sweets like jalebi, ladoo, barfi as if there is no end and then all these unhealty spices red chilli and masaalzz destroy stomache and people realize this when they cross 30...We have no culture to eat raw vegetables and salads and seasonsal vegetables/fruits is not expensive to buy ..when they cook meat then they fry it in cheap unhealthy oil which add more fats.. If your job involve physical work /activities then you can digest 3 rotiaaz and parataraz but if you do a desk job then it just increase uncessary fats in your body . Our diet is nothing but just carbs and saturated fats
