When Pakistanis see Fatih sultan Mehmet as a national hero I got no problem with that.
A lot of Muslims regardless of race and ethnic groups are seen as heroes like Khalid Bin Walid, Ayub Al Ansari, Mahmud of Ghazni, Yavuz Sultan Selim, Baybars, Saladin, Omar Al Mukhtar, Imam Shamil and various others.
There are many Pakistani Muslims in the past that were regarded as national heroes their names should be honoured not Ranjit Singh.
The Byzantines and the Greeks ruled Anatolia for centuries I never took Alexander and various other greeks heroes same with the Byzantines. Even if they part of the history of Turkey.
Same with Ranjit Singh accept him as part of your history but dont see him as a hero or even build a statue in his honour because its basically spitting on the graves of the Muslim Martyrs who fought against Ranjit Singh and the Sikh empire.
the number you are dialling is busy grooming future handsome kaana rajas
can you name one Pakistani Muslim hero celebrated in your country?
thanks

Nobody takes Ranjit Singh as hero in Pakistan apart from a very small minority who are liberal scums and who some of them unfortunately are Ministers in the government. The rest of the majority loathe the Sikh rule. Pakistanis relate themselves with the Muslims and past Muslim empires here and absolutely love and respect the great Muslim warriors of the past especially the warriors/generals of Rashidun era.
It is very unfortunate that this kind of disgusting act has taken place.
Of all the Punjabi heroes, the fact that they chose this one is just dumb, and the fact that they made an idol out of him is even dumber. Why not choose a well known Punjabi hero such as Ilm Uddin, Ahmed Khan Karral, Abdullah Bhatti, Adina Beg, Porus, Raja Rasalu, Qutb Shah, Habeeb Ar Raee or even freaking Bhaghat Singh? And why not just settle for a monument in their honour (e.g a mini attraction of some sort about them) rather than a full blown idol?

How do you explain words like sikha shah in rural punjabi? To me it seem like some elite/liberal class of Lahore directly benefitted from Sikh rule. Sikh empire official language remained Persian which meant many muslims who invited him would be employed by sikh empire. Just like under Mughal rule but main difference being punjab muslims actually hold important positions under mughals. Adina baig or that Kamboh user Taimur posted about.
BTW Im not a fan of Afghan/Abdali decoits taking advantage of weak Mughal empire post Nadir Shah invasions. But Afghans never directly ruled punjab like sikhs and mughals before them. And by far punjab muslims were happy under mughal rule then sikh rule. Hell even they welcomed British rule apart from probably some section of Lahore class. Even hindu dogras betrayed sikhs by siding with British.
Doesnt mean I hate sikhs.
These type of antics will cause a huge portion of PTI voters to lose their enthusiasm for the party!
One of the biggest thing that turned me off from Pml (n) was their wanna be secular/liberal antics like celebrating Christmas or announcing national holiday on Easter etc etc. Now thanks to LUNS like this peace of shit minister, PTI is going this way too
Pakistan should respect and protect its minorities with justice as Islam dictates....but Pakistan should not try to dilute its Islamic identity just to please few liberal/secular elitist mafia in our colleges, universities, media, and so on.
While “secular” india is building massive statues of Hindu gods, and hindu political leaders....we are building life size statues of Ranjit Singh
Talk about CUCKERY!
This minister should be forced to resign! Remember liberal outrage when Fayaz ul Chohan bad mouthed india? Guess what? Same crowd is happy now seeing oppressor of Muslims being celebrated in the name of “punjabi supremacy”
What a farce!

Muhammad Ali Jinnah has a pretty busy road named after him in Ankara, called Cinna Cadessi.

He is right in calling him the greatest King of Punjab
Do you Think Sikhs will now invest in Pakistan?
I'd disagree. Raja Rasalu seems to have been much greater considering how many folk tales about him exist, despite existing almost 2,000 years ago.
We've always had Sikhs in Pakistan, and I don't think they will stop investing anytime soon.
