Lieutenant Colonel in J&K shots himself up

Find some solace in that the Indian soldier's better than the genocidal Sudani soldier.

Indian government on the other hand has many cases of genocide and massacres on their bloody hands.

Isnt the topic about Indian Army,
Asim Atleast the Indian Army doesnt have a Internationally acknowleged track record like that of Pakistan Army in bangladesh which has been termed as genocide by your own ally United States, Ambassador. I am sure you have seen the excerpts of the conversations and telegrams between President Nixon and Amabassdor to dacca.

I dont think this the right way to discuss, but there is only so much you can take.

It sadden's me to say this but in my experience it is too easy to dehumanise the "enemy" there are tricks that (military) training uses (which I will not go into now) But sometimes reality can break through and land on you like a ton of bricks.

It happens to anyone (both the ability to commit atrocities and for reality to hit)

Agreed, That can be one of the reasons. But then again a soldier has to do what he has to. I am sure you sir would do the same. Isnt War the ultimate crime to humanity, I am sure there extremes committed, But I am also there are more than enough reasons for the army to justify itself.Especially when we have bombs going on in market places and residential areas and school buses.

More than dehumanising,It is more about achieving the objectives. We never thought of Pakistani nor the Chinese as evil-doers, They wanted our land, So we had to defend.(i know we have differnces here, lets not get into a discussion on this, I accept your views, but i just dont agree with it).

Actually the new findings by Bangladeshis lead to the conclusion at first that not 3 million but 300,000 people were killed in East Pakistan (Bangladesh) and now they say a genocide never occurred. It was posted on PFF a coupla months ago.

But our track records not clean either. Whose is it? I'm pretty sure many innocents would've died trying to kill Bugti, the Taliban, the Al Qaeda, etc in recent years too. All that make the soldier go "hmmm". Forget Suicide they tried to kill the President!! You won't see any wimpy denial from me... I can't deny reality.

My accusations are not to malign and put a blemish on the demigods that you call the Indian Army soldiers, but to point to a reality on what is happening in Kashmir.

Indian Army might have a gazillion super cool points and save a million boys named "prince" from burrow wells but it has transgressed in Kashmir to levels of state terrorism.

The state terrorism that makes the Indian soldiers go "hmmm" and they kill themselves, since they are the one's pulling the trigger.

Agreed, except

I dont consider anyone demi-god other than schumacher.
For all you know India army might not be even seeing it that way, Most American soldiers believe they are spreading democracy.lol
That makes guilt one of the smallest factor. I am pretty sure they will think about the hundreds of Kashmir pandits killed and chased away from their land by the miltants to increase the number of muslims in the valley.

Imagine if you are a soldier, and you are kept in hot zone with no other outlet of entertainment or fun, and no way of seeing your family for a long periods of time. Siachin Soldiers are on a constant rotation as well as given ample leave to avoid such a mental breakdown. This there are no casualities over there. But i dont know how feasible it will be for a larger group.

About the bangladeshis, wasnt 3 million refugees into india and around 300,000 involved in the genocide.I believe your version when it becomes official from the UN and the bangladesh government. But it was a differnt time, and different rules. No use talkin about it.its past

Neither I, nor you were there; therefore, our speculations hold equal weight.
My father served two and a half years at J&K. I have lived there for three years. Done my high school in Srinagar. I'm not speculating. I've spoken to troops and officers who serve in active COIN operations.

We also realize Indian soldiers who are NOT deployed on internal security duties do not go berserk the same way when their leaves are denied.
Obviously because they have their families living with them in peace stations. Being denied leave to visit their village isn't going to cause depression. Besides, we have reports of a dozen or so suicides out of 700,000 troops in forward areas. Suicide rates(rates not numbers) in western armies are higher than that in the IA.

True
India doesnt have 700,000 in forward areas,

vnomad, check out NDTV, CNN IBN, the mother and wife of the dead lt.col is accqusing his direct superior for the suicide. Some financial regularities which he refused to do, directed by his superior officer.

I guess we did talk, wasnt it about Imperial Suites in Dubai...lol...I am not even going to walk near that place again. I termed most problems in the Middle east was caused by the USA, and Bin Laden was infact creation of US or supported by the people created by US. I got kicked out of there for that.

Adu

i am with you my man on this one :army:

What do u think the Pakistani Pilots must be feeling now, after they killed people who could not reply in Kind.its a moot point, its war... Then I absloutly agree with the establishment, Intergrity of your country is important.

1. How many Pakistani pilots have you ever seen flashing victory signs next to the mutilated bodies of their victims?
2. Pakistanis do not share your bravado. Instead of arrogantly boasting ‘survival of the fittest’, majority of Pakistanis have severely criticized the government for the deaths of innocent in case of the example you presented and every other time they think innocent people had been gunned down.

Most soldiers in Sudan, Congo Rwanda, Ethiopoa are not commiting sucides are they according to ur standards. Didnt they commit genocide after genocide

Any civilized nation and their military with a shred of dignity, hint of humanity and an ounce of honor do NOT allow their soldiers to pose jubilantly next to the mutilated bodies of their victims. Every time such despicable instances were discovered by the Americans, Brits and Germans, they took their soldiers to the task by courtmarshalling them for their inhumane and despicable behavior. Only nations with the baggage of inferiority complex steaming from centuries of slavery desperately try to prove their worth by allowing and encouraging such inhumane and despicable behavior.

Now allow me to ask you, how many soldiers your army has courtmarshalled for flashing victory signs next to the mutilated bodies of their victims in prime examples of inhumane and despicable behavior?

We have recieved the tortured body of our soldier from you, To me even that is the part of war,

Please don’t even try to pull a fast one. Pakistanis tried to handover the bodies under the supervision of Red-Cross, but your government purposely refused to take over the bodies through Red-Cross, because they didn’t want a neutral confirmation of the condition the bodies were handed over.

Since there is no neutral confirmation of the condition the bodies that were handed over by the Pakistanis, for all we know, Indians most probably either maliciously lied and/or mutilated the bodies in an effort to win the propaganda war and to win the world opinion.

As Indians plainly refused to take the possession of the bodies under the supervision of Red-Cross, the benefit of doubt goes to the Pakistanis.

Then please do tell us why the Colonel shot himself up, as you were there with him, right?

Check through Boston Herald Articles ,and get back to me. World opinion is on India's side, there must be some reason for it. Maybe you should self-introspect. Please dont consider world leaders and journo's to be some idiotic bunch who couldnt see through the great indian lie, lol.

stop your ultra uber sarcasm, maybe then people will show respect and atleast a give a try to understand your pov, if any

They are terrorist and I share no sense of remorse in their deaths. Its a victory for the safety of my civilian population.
You call them victims/freedom fighters, we call them legitmate targets/terrorist, isnt the whole kashmir issue all about that. With the amount bombs going off in my cities, i am not going to advocate any kind of soft side for people who perprate them or do u believe indian government does that, lol.
I might support the army action, but there enough and more people including the very liberal media who criticze the army for their actions.
what about officers in your army who didnt get court-martilled for rape and murder. Mukther Mai was it? Everybody has their baggage, so get out of your Holier than thou attitude.

Pakistani Army/Airforce couldnt go anywhere their target in their own country for the outrage it caused. But it is your country, you thought it was imperative, i will not judge you. I am practical enough to understand, times have changed, you have more domestic characters who cause more problems and damages to the country's economic, integerity other areas than external factors. Taliban and Al-qeada are more dangerous to pakistan than india. Its the difference of having a irrational enmey to that of a rational enemy who have something to loose also.

Understand why your enemy does it, The lines between good and bad are blurred in todays world. So get off your high horse

I wont reply to you again, as your not worth my time.
