I don't think India takes sides regarding the problems in the Middle East.

Statement issued by the IBSA member-states on the situation between Israel and Palestine

India, Brazil and South Africa express their strongest condemnation of the ongoing violence between Israel and Palestine, that threatens the peace and security of the region. The IBSA countries deeply regret the loss of human lives and express their concern over the disproportionate and excessive use of force.
They urge the parties to immediately cease all violence, to exercise maximum restraint and toavoid taking any action that may further exacerbate the situation. Theystress their expectation that the United Nations Security Council will do its utmost in the fulfillment of its responsibilities in regard to this serious situation.

They also stress the urgent need to lift the blockade on Gaza which continues to worsen the already dire socio-economic and humanitarian situation in Gaza.

The IBSA countries express their strong support to the mediation efforts of the Government of Egypt, the League of Arab States and the UN Secretary-General aimed at achieving a negotiated ceasefire.

The IBSA countries believe that only diplomacy and dialogue will lead to the resolution of the current crisis, which makes it even more urgent to resume direct talks between Israel and Palestine, leading to a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian Question i.e. the achievement of a two-state solution.

In view of the upcoming UN General Assembly discussion on the Question of Palestine, India, Brazil and South Africa express their support for Palestine's request to be accorded Observer State status in the United Nations system.

In America, liberals worry more about the rights of the criminals rather than the justice for the victims. The turn the word " justice" upside down.

They are the same here.

Just yesterday, the mass murderer who killed 165 Indians along with his cronies, got hanged after 4 years of "justice".

A common problem in different countries.

In Israel, there were many people who wanted to offer land for peace. After Arafat turned down the offer for all the lands captured after 1967 war and insist on returning Palestinian to the pre-1947 ands, almost no Israelis have sympathy for Palestinian leadership and rightfully so.

Yup. But the kind of people we are talking about here love being enslaved and ruled over. SO they don't consider it that bad.

I don't think India takes sides regarding the problems in the Middle East.

Unfortunately, you're right.

But many times we have wrongly condemned them as well.

It is so embarrassing when our politicians condemn them for defending themselves.

We don't need others "condemning" anything really. We are guilty because we are divided, if Muslim countries became a more or less united block like the West, Zionist occupation and Western imperialism would be crushed easily. Let's keep blaming others for our failures.

There are great merits in division. If unity is mandated it becomes a form of compulsion: the weak give in to the strong. Division encourages creativity and is itself an expression of freedom. Every opinion that has ever been held by a majority started out as a minority opinion; every idea for new initiative originates with a single person and spreads from there.

As Union General William T. Sherman put it in his memoirs, the military should stay aloof from politics -

"because the army must be true and faithful to the powers that be, and not be subjected to a temptation to favor one or other of the great parties into which our people have divided, and will continue to divide, it may be, with advantage to the whole."

The world needs more people that defends Israel in their own countries. The radical left in Aerica is anti Israel.
