What's the definition of confidence for you?
How confident are you?
Were you encouraged by your parents to be confident?
Does your society(family, friends, teachers etc) encourage confidence?
How are you planning to develop confidence in your children?

I’ve been told I’m quite confident and I think mine is derived with being vocal on matters I truly believe in. Before any Ethnic mocktail - I’d like to say I’m a humanist. The institute I went to believed in criticisms backed with substantial evidence. Looking at it through a two way street - pros & cons.

I hope to install confidence in my future children along with humbleness. Many mistake confidence with superiority and arrogance, that’s simply not true.

Agree to disagree. Live and let live.

Fearless .. strong .. blunt .. loud is definition of confidence for me ..& I'm a quiet and confident person .
However , this isn't a safe place to share private things as some ' abusive trolls ' resort to take advantage of your psychic if they get to know your inner self and your private life.

Interesting thread.

It is a vast topic. Definitions are key to human communication and we are living at times where most terms are being legally defined(read consent, energy and environment etc etc etc) in a standard way than ever before in history as told by modern historians.

It will be a good exercise for the forum to indulge in this topic and maybe even draw a consensus.

Confidence is doing something or saying something without getting afraid of what others would say or do. Believing in your self no matter what is confidence. Holding your ground in the most difficult of time is confidence.

I'm confident in some situations but I'm not confident in other situations. I think there is a direct correlation between being an extrovert and being confident. Introverts are less likely to be confident.

Honorary Oxford Degree gives you overconfidence which blinds and renders you incompetent while filling out a basic questionnaire.
