Interfax, quoting a source in the Russian space industry, said the Egyptian satellite Egyptsat-A will be launched in October this year from the Plesetsk space base.
The Egyptian satellite for remote sensing will be carried and sent to space by the Soyuz-2.1 b rocket, originally designed to carry Russian military satellites.
The Russian source said the satellite would be moved to the space station in September and would be launched in October.
