Late filers will not get status of filers: FBR

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has said that as per amended law the annual income tax returns furnished after due date will not be treated as filer of return or will not make place on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL).
The FBR said that this amendment to income tax laws will be applicable on returns filed for tax year 2018.

State can legally contact your work and ask them to deduct money from Salary or face prison or get you fired

1) State can come after your property
2) State can come after your car
3) State can come after your Job and Salary if you don't pay Taxes
4) State can come after your bank balance
5) State can come sell your items you own (Car , Bicycle , Chaddi )
6) 10,000 Acre land and you pay 10 rupee property tax sorry that need to be confiscated


Simplest is to confiscate Property
Property is 3-4 Crore Rupee , confiscate and Sell it to highest bidder and recover cost

This is one most stupid legal provision. In a country where a large number of people already don't file their annual income tax returns, you are discouraging the ones that are willing to file, be it late. And it's not easy for everyone to file their online income tax returns using a web portal.

Late fine / fees would have made sense, but declaring them non active for income tax is the most stupid and idiot thing to do.
