Its not really fair to blame China solely for increasing pollution and CO2 emissions. These are increasing due to manufacturing stuff for the West. If the West was less wasteful there would be a lot less pollution all around.

About the 1.5 billion to 3 billion empty houses.....if true...its going to be 2008 on steroids.

All I know is the Chinese haters said all the empty ghost stories by him and others were made up sh*t.

Now 6 years later the Chinese government finally admits he was correct. But we all know the Chinese media is all lies because PDF members know better.

Even U.S. Government, as profligate as can be, has accumulated only $33 Trillion in its 247 year history.

They are saying 1.4B people can't fill the number of empty housing. It isn't saying how many there are.

The title of the video says:

It need not be lying, just a case of bad estimation. Dealing with very large numbers in a very large country like China is a challenge and most likely someone sampled some place and extrapolated from that leading to howlers like this. A famous example given in introductory statistics class is this logically absurd but statistically accurate conclusion: A man with his feet in the freezer and head in an oven is on an average comfortable.

No surprising at all, some also claim China put 5 million Uyghurs in concentration camps while the Uyghur's whole population is barely 12 million, including the very old and very young.

I have seen U.S. Senators getting disoriented between millions and billions, what to talk of ordinary people. Most journalists are unbelievably innumerate and anything beyond 100,000 is just too big for them to grasp.
