In 1998, Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee visited Pakistan on a peace mission by Dosti Bus service. Nawaz Sharif welcomed Vajpayee at Wahga Border. Both signed Lahore Declaration a historic document on Minar-e-Pakistan.Before that USA and Pakistan were caught in a diplomatic issue. Bill Clinton had had to call Nawaz Sharif on very important matter. You'll see the start of Kargil from October 1998 to onward.
