Bulandshahr: The grieving family members of an Indian Army soldier who lost his life fighting terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir's Kupwara district on Sunday slammed the Narendra Modi government, accusing it of not taking enough steps to protect the soldiers.

The body of 22-year-old jawan Rahul Kumar, a soldier of the 23 Grenadier Regiment, reached his native village in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr on Tuesday morning.

"I raised him and admitted him to the military school. The government doesn't have strong rules for soldiers. They don't receive proper orders or weapons. They remain quiet. I have another son I am ready to sacrifice him and myself for the country," said Kumar's father.

"The government keeps saying that good days will come. Our good days have arrived. My brother died in 3 months after the new government took over. We should kill 100 soldiers from Pakistan in retaliation," said Kumar's brother.

The martyr's family is preparing for his final journey. Three jawans and five terrorists were killed in the Kupwara encounter, which is still underway.

In my short lived life i have observed that it is us who are degrading our lives not the government. We are searching for a government which will move a magical stick to remove misery out of country. but thats not possible at all...

I meant in the specific context of letting other nations get away with murdering our citizens.

I am not sure what your point is.

Yeah, in this context you are somewhat right... though BSF is repaying tit for tat\

I am not sure what your point is.

if you live in India where its own citizen don't care about their country except on some occasional days when they represent as a perfect nationalist patriot , you will understand.

If they live in India they have no choice but to care for their country. They don't have to stand up and sing the national anthem every time , all they have to be is good citizens. Pay their taxes, educate their kids, work hard and make some money etc. All those are also national building exercise.

A good citizen who does his duty to the best of his ability is the very definition of a perfect nationalist patriot. Not those who does flag hoisting.
