For the first time in the history of #KPK, Police has established its own Forensic science Laboratory.

Now the KPK Police can investigate any high profile case/ murder with the help iof modern technological processes without seeking help from Islamabad Police.

Every major city with at least half a million population should have its own forensic lab. But as forensic labs can't have crimes investigation all the time they should also have duty of doing research on cure for diseases and other related researches

I think it is not feasible to have a full fledge facility in every city but small labs with basic functionalities can be established in every city and large state of the art facilities can be centrally located and networked with all the local units.

That is I said they should be research centers with one section working as forensic labs. They should even produce new tech to earn money

In the past evidence was sent over to different forensics labs in the country, now kp police have thiee own facility, forensics in crime has been present in Pak for a long time, specially in sindh and punjab.

KPK have access to this fantastic new facility in Peshawar, prior to this medico-legal was done at lady reading, post blast in Peshawar, Verisys in Rawalpindi and Bloodwork/DNA in Islamabad.

Karachi has its own lab

Quetta: Post blast is done in city by FC, basic fingerprint and AFIS exists in city, medico-legal is done at civil hospital, blood/dna/verysis done at federal labs.
