A high level meeting was held under the presidency of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar.
In the meeting, Koh Sulaiman's issues were reviewed regarding making small dams to protect the water from wasting water from rodkohiyas. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has approved to start initial work on 4 small dams in the area.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that small dams are needed for water spaces. The Punjab government is considering different options for small dams. Millions of cuisic water is wasted every year in the rodkohies of Mount Suleiman. Protect this precious water. Small Dams plan is important for making and using.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar further said that the construction of small dams will provide clean drinking water to the people of the backward areas. Technical study is underway for the construction of four small dams in the first phase.
In the meeting, Secretary Irrigation informed Chief Minister Usman Buzdar about the important matters of the construction project of small dams. Provincial Minister Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed, Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning and Development Secretary of Finance, Secretary Irrigation and Head of Special Monitoring Unit attended the meeting.
