The official website of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has been hacked by a group calling itself the 'Pashtun Cyber Army', it emerged Thursday.

The hackers defaced kp.gov.pk with a message criticising Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, whose party governs KP.

"Shame on KPK people who elected a party run from Bani Gala," reads the text.

The hackers have also criticised what they allege is the "illegal occupation of Fata, Pashtunistan and Balochistan".

As a footnote, the hackers have asked that they be given the "credit" for the hacking instead of Indian intelligence agency RAW.

A representative at KP's e-Governance Web Cell told Dawn.com via telephone that efforts were being made to restore the site to its original state.

"The site will be restored by today," he said.

These hackers must be Afghans studying in Pakistani Universities. Time to throw them all in Afghanistan or India.

Showing nasty but true face of of PMLN supporters.

Could be N but could also be those ungrateful afghans who studied from pakistan and are now sitting in Europe chilling and hating on pakistan. Either way this highlights that our govt websites need better protection so that next time this little prank doesn't cost anything serious.

Either way the hackers need to get a life.

If the hackers were actually Pushtoon (that what world call them) then they would have actually used the word "Pakhtoon" and not "Pushtoon" in group's name. Also U know who uses word "Bani Gala" when trying to come hard on IK. Now we have quite narrow list of who all can be behind it. Seems yesterday's bashing in parliament had virtually traumatized some people out there.

'Pashtun Cyber Army', it emerged Thursday.

These wording more looks like coming from a NAMAK HARAM than Nooras.

I agree with @Skyliner ...
• the tone of the lang is of Afghanistan nationals, they are facing heat from the current pti govt in kpk...& First these haramis should get out of our country & no we pashtuns aren't ashamed of voting pti...
• they should be ashamed of themselves & bringing bad name to our Pashtuns !!
• then some ppl will talk about Muslim ummah & no matter what they do I.e kill our children or work against our country by promoting hatred against each others...

. .
Well gents it goes like this.

I would like to thank the paahtun cyber army for reminding us as to why the repatriation of refugees should not stop any cost. A great combative against the sob story articles that come every week about afghan refugees.
