KP anti- corruption dept registers record 33 cases in one week
Provincial Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) has registered record 33 cases of corruption and irregularities against officers and officials of various government departments during last one week and sent 46 accused to jail.
A spokesman for the Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) KP, said the department registered a total of 33 cases from May 21-28 against officers and officials ranging from BPS-7 to BPS-19 and sent 46 accused behind the bars over charges of corruption and misuse of official authority.
Soon after assuming his new responsibilities as Director ACE KP Ziaullah Khan Toru has expedited activities against the corrupt officers and officials throughout the province in a bid to purge the government departments of corruption.
The department is conducting raids for the arrest of the remaining accused, he said, adding no corrupt officer would be saved from the action initiated by the department against corruption.
The ACE also appealed to the people to cooperate with the department in pointing out the corrupt government officers so that they could be brought to books.
