An eight-member Korean Overseas Volunteer team has arrived in Dhaka to share their knowledge and expertise in different fields.

They will teach computer designing, Korean language, clinical pathology, architecture and management during their two-year long stay in Bangladesh.

The team will undergo local adaptation training for the first two months to acquire knowledge on the local language, culture and customs.

Among the eight volunteers, two will be posted at the Bogra and Khulna Technical Training Centre, while rest will work at Savar Bangladesh-Korean Friendship Hospital, Valuka BRDB, Bogura, Sylhet and Chittagong Foreign Language Training Centers.

Korea’s development wing, KOICA says with the arrival of new volunteers, the total number of their volunteers in Bangladesh currently stood at 57.

They are working in different fields, including medical, architecture, automobile, computer and IT assistance, social welfare, and taekwondo.
