Yes problem in such insurgencies / freedom fighting is that some groups, some people become so much radicalized that they forget the differentiation between innocent and the culprits as well as start killing innocents and destroy/ damage property, which is not the way nor should anyone do that.

US will never be fully out of Iraq, it will try to have an imprint on the state for as long as possible, one of the reasons for them to be building the largest, most fortified US embassy in the world, as they aspirations are to stay for decades, but not militarily as an invader.

They will try to have the govt filled with its puppets whom they can control.

US has gained billions from the Iraqi oil and in future also they will earn a lot also through different ways.

The US has so much messed up the situation that there is no easy way out, except for making the country go into civil war and God forbidding the whole region may get destabilized.

There is no easy solution, its very complex, delicate and troublesome situation which needs fixing and Obama may even not be successful in doing it as everyone wants, lots of complications.

Iraq condition is not so simple as you are putting here.
If normal iraqi people had same view they would have been on the street, demonstrating against US.

the reasons given are historical and maybe fabricated. that is not important. subsequent justification was the killing machine of saddam against the kurds and other minorities. that was enough justification.

africa and somalia was an experiment at one time with black hawk down. unfortunately for the opponents of usa presence in iraq they need to answer for the fact that iraqi government wants the usa in iraq. if there is any evidence that iraqi government does not represent the will of the majority of iraqis then it has not surfaced. until then accept that the majority of iraqis want the usa troops in iraq. who are we to tell the iraqis how to live their lives? imagine a scenario where india starts criticising pakistan for engaging in the usa in the war against terror? that scenario is being played out here with people criticising the presence of usa in iraq

Sometimes I really wonder why it is so bloody rare, just for the novelty of it, investigate and think before posting so as to perhaps get a few items right:

1) Iraq has been a secular state since the 1960s. get this, secular so AQ connection.

2) Kurd was/is an internal problem of Iraq. If US wants to play world police then it definitely should have looked elsewhere as well..*task task* INDIA or Turkey who are killing kurd rebels left right and center.

Iraq is now going towards radicalization as nobody has a clear cut majority or support.
