Khaleda threatens Dhaka siege

Bogra, Oct 18 (bdnews24.com) — BNP chief Khaleda Zia has warned of road marches towards Dhaka to topple the government.

She urged her audience at a rally at Bogra's Altafunnesa playground that they should prepare for such programmes in future.

The former prime minister said, "The government has failed in every sector. Neither the people nor their sovereignty is secure in their hands anymore."

She said that was why the people had risen. She said, "The people will have to be march towards Dhaka in future to unseat the government and see them off."

Leader of the main opposition, Khaleda led a road march towards the north-western district of Chapainawabganj from Dhaka. On its way, the road march has halted in Bogra for the night. Khaleda will stay the night at the town's circuit house.

The two-day march will conclude on Wednesday with Khaleda addressing another rally at the Chapai Government High School grounds. Before that Khaleda is expected to address a rally at Naogaon before reaching the destination.

@ BNP is a people oriented political party. What BNP is trying is to create public opinion against AL's govt. Once the public opinion is created than this silent people support will be violent and at that time no govt can stay in power. Once the public opinion is well created and there are huge gathering all the people in the state administration will be frightened and soon they will be disobedence every where. But this govt will try to impose force where will be some killing. By this time world opinion will go against the govt and they would be forced to resign.

As soon Hasina loses power she will make lots of claim BUT she will run away to Canadaa most likely and perhaps US. And Awami regime advisors will do the same. Awami goons who are looting and terrorizing people now will flee to india.

India issue NOT just a political card, it is a real and present danger to Bangladesh sovereignty and existance. It is issue for the people and thats why people from all walks of life responding to Khaleda's call. As political party and leader that is exactly what people expected from BNP and KZ - that is lead movement for people cause.

They have wish for power. BUT power is not the issue here. REAL issues are indian interference on Bangladesh sovereignty, economy, media and political system using a stooge party like Awami league. Then offcource Awami regime manged to destroy Bangladesh economy, looted billion from stock market, using power plant contracts and other means. Food inflation is 12% in Bangladesh now, 20 years high. For a country like Bangladesh it is very difficult to buy food for many people with 12% food inflation.
