Kashmir unrest: Complaint filed against Pak PM Nawaz Sharif by ATFI in Ambala Court

Sharif was accused by Anti-Terrorist Front of India of hatching a conspiracy to provoke riots in Jammu and Kashmir.


A case has been filed in a local court against Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif accusing him of hatching a conspiracy to provoke riots in Jammu and Kashmir.

The President of Anti-Terrorist Front of India Viresh Shandilya has filed the complaint in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ambala.

CJM Swati Sehgal has forwarded the complaint to the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Harsh Kumar who will hear the application tommorrow. Sandeep Sachdeva, counsel of Shandilya, said that the complaint was filed in the court under various Sections of IPC.

If Indian courts do their job, it'll probably get thrown out. Indian courts have no jurisdiction on foreign leaders and diplomats, and they know it.

Besides, I don't see the point, other than for local propaganda purposes. Even if found guilty, it isn't like they can arrest him, even if he goes to India on a diplomatic trip (heck, even a trip in general). Such an event would likely lead to war, and make India look bad.
