They knew it and will act smart accordingly. They even did not voice much concern about it during cold war as they knew Indian response.

Tibet too an Indpedendent state was hundreds years ago. After all nations in their diplomatic declaration with China have accepted and signed Tibet a part of China, I think it's worthless to mention the stupid argument again.
