As of 2016, a single Meteor missile was valued at $2 million. That is an exorbitant amount of loot for a single missile, no matter how good it is. It's probability of kill is most likely the highest and its range is above medium IMHO and so yes, it's currently the best A2A missile out there but can you imagine loading one of your Rafales or Typhoons with 4 of these? That's $8 million in just that munition and how much would it cost an air force to procure a sustainable batch of oh, let's say, 300 units? $600 million?! Ouch. For that kind of loot, it better have a 100% success rate and shoot down fireflies at 60,000 feet!
