This issue needs to be addressed ASAP, there is a big social divide surfacing due to the SHOWERING of prime plots at discount rates to a certain segment of the society. Gen Musharaf is certainly loved by that class who authorised such societies en masse all over the country. Some big boyz made HUGE dosh in these land grab schemes, will not add further for the respect of the institutions. But do fear as the future for the commoners is getting bleak day after day, we might be on the cusp of a FRENCH REVOLUTION type predicament(God Forbid).

Oh yes!! there was a case in which Musharraf allotted hundreds of acre land to his blue eyed civil & military officers during January 2004 and May 2008 in alleged violation of the Colonisation of Government Land (Punjab) Act 1912 and the allotment policy framed in 1962 under it for the AWS as colonial master.

No, they are not the same. Some are purely civilian organisations in the guise of military, some are military funded organisations in the guise of civilian orga, some are however military organisations.

They are developed and allotted through DHA on the same price as any civilian whose name come in ballot. However, criteria is their certain limit of service. Please note that plots are not only sold / allotted to officer but to JCO and soldiers as well. These people give an impression that these plots are free of cost or subsidized which obviously is not the case.

There is a qouta for Army Officers which does not in proportion with the number of general public or even JCOs and ORs.

We have veteran hospital system for our veterans. beyond that retired military personnel do not enjoy any special benefits

we can argue about generous pensions to government employees
