We are a poor country and although booming , we can't handle any illegal immigrants. We already have som many refugees from Bangladesh, Hindus/Sikh refugees from Pakistan, Tamil refugees from Sri Lanka , Tibetan refugees from China and now we have even taken in some Rohingyas from Myanmar. India is no Dharamshala. If you don't stop even after getting warned you are bound to get shot.

There was a separatist movement that lasted 30 years in India in Assam due to this very issue of changing demography there because of influx of Bangladeshi muslims. These are ground realities.

Bangladeshis need to start improving their own country rather than pole vaulting into India.

Anyone notice what certain liberal Westerners, and specifically British, are doing these days- trying to equate India to Israel and then to imply what both do is wrong,illegal,excessive and completely unwarranted.



No one ever asks "huh, I wonder why India is investing billions of dollars on 1000km long fences and state of the art border tech?"



As if India is doing all this just to be difficult or to live up to the "evil Bharat" title many neighbors have dreamt up. Every nation have a right to protect their national sovereignty, BD and Pakistan are failing on their side of the borders to maintain law and order so of course the borders are going to be "hot" for a number of reasons.

Unfortunate incidents occur...sometimes even BSF jawaans lose their lives. There is an atmosphere of mistrust as far as illegal aliens are concerned..till that issue is resolved innocents will be caught in the cross-fire. The fence shall help greatly upon its completion.

Really I didn't understand why BSF is doing that. Either these people are lying. They tried to do definitely something more than just farming or the BSF has some severe mental issues. But you never know who's telling the truth from just a video. For this proper investigation needs to be done. Indian Govt should look into this matter.

why on earth BSF will shoot innocent farmers ? I dont think BSF or any normal or abnormal human being also will kill another innocent person who hasn't done any harm to him as such.. I think farmers are lying !

The farmers must be acting as snitches for the smugglers reporting BSF timings and patrol schedule etc.. !

BSF won't shoot farmers for no reason at all. Farmers , as someone just said must be doing something more than just tendering their fields and as suggested by the BSF , they don't respond when warned not to come too near to the fence.
