If arab Muslim and gcc neighbours can isolate iran from President Asad then it will be a big breakthrough for Syria Syria will return to normalcy with this as iran is playing double game with Syria iran is playing all sects with one another in Syria and if Syria's arab Muslim and gcc allies can give cheap oil and gas to Syria then it will be a big breakthrough for Syria and its citizens
Syria is a majority Arab nation with close to 80-85% of the population being ethnic Arabs. Whether Sunni, Alawite or Christian.
Geography, ancient millennia old shared history, language, culture, religious ties, genetics, tribal/clan/family ties, political outlook, common interests, Syrian diasporas etc. all makes it inevitable that Syria (Al-Assad regime or its successor) will return to the Arab fold.
In fact in many ways the Al-Assad regime has already been reaching out to Arab states and vice versa.
Iran is a foreign body/outsider that is only present in Syria (Levant) due to circumstance and chaos, in other words the after effects of the so-called "Arab Spring" and subsequent Syrian civil war. Other than that, Iran is as foreign for Syria as say Pakistan, Afghanistan or Indonesia in the wider picture.
Hell, Syria and Syrians have far greater ties to Turkey next door given the shared history, geography, large Syrian diaspora in Syria, the Turkish areas bordering Syria having a large indigenous community of Turkish Arabs, Hatay etc.
It is the same story with the Houthi's.
Basically the Al-Assad regime needed/needs foreign patrons to keep itself afloat (the largest being Russia) and similarly with the Houthi's and the question of Yemen long-term.
Lastly as I see it, it is just a question of time before a secular/nationalist Iran emerges, which will naturally easily/completely sever the ties/connection to those Arab regimes/movements. Why? Because that connection has only two things in common, religion (political Islam) and politics (anti-West/USA/anti-certain Arab regimes). Once those two bonds are cut, there is nothing left. So take it easy and time will do the job on its own. Trust me on that one. History likes to repeat itself after all.
