Army, Air Force display war skills

SILIGURI, March 25: The modern war is short and swift, a replicated piece of which, unfolded during an Indian Army and Air Force organised joint rehearsal at Sahugaon near Bagrakote in the Dooars yesterday.
In the joint practice of armoured, artillery and infantry, the Indian Army and Indian Air Force jointly showcased the modern air and surface warfare skills and also put up on display modern machines of warfare like the T-72 Tanks, 120mm mortars, Bofors cannons and anti-aircraft guns.
Soldiers of the 33 Corps exhibit how to fire the cannons and guns in surface war.
The Air Force exhibit the method of dropping soldiers, arms and supplies on enemy land with the help of high speed helicopters like the Cheetah, while aircrafts demonstrated bombing tactics.
Army officials present at the exercise site said it was an annual training ritual to sharpen their skills as well as to demonstrate the standard of the Indian Army.
