There are many reasons.
Pakistan saw a massive economic progress from 1947 to 1967. Yeah may not be like Gulf, but HUGE from the point where most of Pakistanis were in 1947.
1. Pakistanis are like having born in a big mansion of granpa Jinnah. And as many kids born in mansions, don't give a rats @rse to the mansion. Even actively destroying and selling parts of the mansion. And hence no respect of Pakistan.
2. Global instead of national belief system.
-- Pakistani educated elite believe in global ideologies like Islam for religion and Marxism for economy. Thus no local allegience and no respect for Pakistan
3. Utter lack of the concept of "citizenship".
-- For most Pakistanis citizenship simply means ability to vote, passport, and right to work. However citizenship is much more than these simple aspects.
