What's new

Janbaz.

. .
I heard this name for the first time. Can anyone help ?

He is writer of suspense and adventure novels like janbaz and Ghazi but some one wrote on Janbaz facebook that he really served the nation.

"A brave man,a true hero,a man of dedication who served for motherland enthusiastically and served precious years of his life.I met him,he is much more than what he wrote in his books about himself.May Allah bless his soul with peace."

Giving his book to DG ISPR.

Old times...Me and my mother were great fan of his both novels. Ghazi and Janbaz. He truly was a spy but at many stages his statements conflict with previous ones. He did work for the ISI but he made some excgarated claims like storming Mossad safe house in Iran during Shah regime. The way he killed out those highly trained Mossad agents is not possible. He was accompanied by some of his old friends he met in India who never went through Military training. Although his wife is a Dr who worked at Aga Khan. He is buried in Graveyard near to Malir Cantonment. It's located between Checkpost 5 and Safoorah.

He also claims about destroying Gorakhpur Air Base in India accompanied by those same India friends. I went through that chapter in detail and his facts do not match with reality.

I read Ghazi when I was a teenager, good novel which was probably based on writers own life in which he was an agent,,,

Sir I completely agree with this one. I take it as the effect of old age maybe because he penned it all in his last years. Even the Ghazi was not complete and we read about him through his wife finishing that last chapter.
However, his statements sometimes contradicted each other.

The way he killed out those highly trained Mossad agents is not possible.
Sir he had few commandos of Bangladesh Army and a Mossad agent who had renounced Judaism and her loyalty to Mossad and had become a Muslim.

I want to know more about him, any info would be highly appreciated.
He used pen name "Abu Shuja Abu Waqar" but his real name was "Syed Saleem Abbas".
His pen name is a combination of the names of both of his sons: Shuja and Waqar.
