After the arrest of Army clerk BK Sinha from West Bengals Darjeeling for spying for Pakistans Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), one more arrest was made on Wednesday. Total five persons have been arrested so far.
Meanwhile, in a sensational revelation, Sinha said he was given a task to make contacts at Jaipur Air Force Station to extract vital information. However, he was arrested before getting any information. ADG intelligence Dalpat Singh Dinkar said, The arrested army employee has revealed that he was assigned the task of developing links in air force station and he approached a civilian employee of the station, but failed in his mission.
Giving details about the person arrested on Wednesday, Dinkar said the accused Gopal Viswakarma belongs to Panighata area of Darjeeling, where he was arrested. He used to work as a middleman and give info acquired by Sinha to the Pakistan agent in Kathmandu.
The other three arrested persons are Magan Bahadur, Mesauria alias Manoj and PK Pardhan. Magan Bahadur is a retired Army man who allegedly introduced Sinha to the ISI agent in Nepal. All the accused belonged to same area in Darjeeling. The accused are on a 10-day police remand in West Bengal.
The ADG said after the remand they would try to bring them to Jaipur on production warrant from West Bengal police. This year, three were arrested from Rajasthan on charges of spying for Pakistan. In February, Sumer Khan was arrested, and this month the police arrested Roshan Khan.
