I see where you are coming from and I am not going to damn you for your views but your not taking a holistic view of the matter. Marriage often involves three parties. The father, mother and child/children. The latter are not party to the contract that took place and gave them birth. Therefore they are innocent.I'm representing human values
However the parents made a elective choice and with the greatest consequences then any other decision you could make. You can't enter a business contract and walk away just because later you don't like it. The reason is the other party will suffer loss of some sort and the contract protects them against loss. Therefore after signing the contract if your not happy tough, you have to stick it out.
In marriage contract there is even more riding on it then a business contract. The marriage often produces children. The parents have a duty and a moral obligation to stay together even if they are not happy. They made a choce. The children did not.
Much as I am supporter of the modern world but this is where my views differ. Parents made a choice. Then they fcuked. Then they had children. Sorry but now you have to stay together. You can't make the children victims because of your faults. Would you punish your kids for your mistake?
However I agree if a marriage has no children then they should be able to walk out without much bother.
