What's new

Its official , Pakistan Constitution is suspended

.
The Pakistani stock market is pretty heavily managed, so not really a true representative of sentiment for the most part.

Exactly.

But I don't expect these morons to think their decisions through.
InshAllah we will get freedom from these traitors. Next government, hopefully PTI should invest army pension in Pakistan stock market. F the country and say goodbye to your pension

.
Estb gonna back stab the PDM pretty soon. Made them abrogate the constitution and will impose Martial Law now openly in wake of constitutional crisis. In current situation both PDM and Estb are the biggest losers of this turmoil.

.
Exactly.

At least they owned up to it.
...establishment evolved.

But IK is not backing down.
May Allah protect him. History of political assasination is frightening in this country.

. .
The SCP must intervene and disqualify the relevant people responsible for this travesty.

PDM: the self described defenders of the constitution. Now they're wiping their asses with it. What a tragedy Pakistan is becoming.
....if SC restore pre 10 March status quo.
Or they restore Punjab and Kpk assemblies.

So EC has decided to postpone the elections. I think they will argue in court about the relaxation that was given in the judgement itself. But what about the caretaker government? Can election commission alone decide to extend a caretaker setup by 5-6 months?

What if they decide tomorrow to give all the powers (that an elected government have) to caretaker setup?

1- There are malafide intentions and I am sure the court will take that into account
2- The court gave some leeway because of administrative measures such printing of ballots, giving sufficient time to recieve nomination papers, do election campaigns etc. Not for this beghairti.
3- Why stop at 8 Oct then? Is tarah to aglay 5 saal chala lo kaam.

No way this stands in court.

But I am more surprised at the small men in big offices that we have. These bureaucrats, the CEC, the secreatries, yeh sab chotay log...what will history remember them by? As traitors and sellouts? In logon ka apna zameer nhn hota? Don't they look into the eyes of their kids and answer to them? To their wives? To their families? What do they think of them?

If you can't refuse orders then resign. That's what the previous NAB chairman did, and kudos to him.

No courts opened, no one else spoke. People who are relying on SC to take a stand, this should be ample guarantee for you.

They are ALL in this together. It’s truly IK vs the status quo, a mix of every agency, party, justice system, and military.

People are watching their country go to hell like baboons waiting for a messiah.

.
All the more reason not to invest

Just tell me, what are you guys going to do about this? Why are you in the forum and not on the streets protesting lol?

We are a begairat quom (lack self respect)...even with everything unfolding the past year exposing our sham of a democracy, and sham judiciary....there is very little outcry. even if 10% 20-30m show up on the streets with rage, we would be able to break free of bastard generals.

Are you kidding me? even 100k could topple the government. It's just a matter of organization.

There's a chance this happens, but they'd still need to deal with the ECP and government refusing to hold elections. It would set a dangerous precedent as they could forever delay elections if the SC does not put a stop to it immediately.

You are right about the malafide intentions, however, article six is not possible now. Court gave relaxation to go beyond 90 days (whether it is 1 day or 5 months, it doesn't matter). SC should have stuck to the 90 days deadline.

About small men in big offices, I think CEC chairman can't do jack by himself. It is the high command that has instructed him with an assurance that everything will be managed.
