What's new

Its official , Pakistan Constitution is suspended

Lahore has 5 times the population of Paris.

Baat wohi hai, politically sane.
Lahore and especially Karachi can easily be politically agitated. However, yes, protestors are not mature/motivated. Also, they should go to the upper mall like KPK people.

Election Commission's Criminal Contempt of Court.

Supreme Court Silent?

Wow this almost rivals the Indians when they talk about launching pads etc to get their rabid nationalists in line.

I heard a long time ago my uncle say the bomb blasts in India and Pakistan were conducted by their Intelligence agencies and then responsibility placed on the country next door. I’m starting to believe this now.

Only a revolution can save Pakistan now.
The current rulers of Pakistan are Taghut!

Which is exactly Pakistanis biggest weakness. To stand up for their rights, and ironically bad mouth nations that actually do.

Karachi has been agitating against the faujis for decades and all they ever got was a big fat bamboo while the rest of the country sat and watched.

Karachi went against Ayub Khan and he moved the capital to GHQ in Pindi.

Today Karachi has ended up with a fauji-wadera alliance shoving Zardari’s rule down Karachi’s throat.

The city has lost the vast bulk of its most educated business and professional classes who’ve given up and left the country. A big proportion of Pakistanis in the US are from the city.

I think that people in Karachi have given up.

No lol maybe in Texas but in NY, Chicago and east coast in general you'd barely see anyone from Karachi

I looked it up and according to Wikipedia there are 1 million Pakistanis in America and 50% are Punjabis and 30% from Karachi. That seems about right from my experience.

A lot of Pakistanis I meet in America are highly educated, qualified and well off. Those are the exact people who would have been building Pakistan if they had remained in the country.

Not true. The majority of people in say Chicago, do seem to be from Karachi.

Maybe it’s more fifty fifty in east coast. In Houston, it’s basically simple majority Karachi.

Surprised that the census would record which part of Pakistan they are from. Can you link the article?

And actually 50% 30% seems to be right from my own experience now that I think about it.

I always thought Houston was mostly folks from Karachi and Chicago were more northern Pakistani. East coast felt like mostly Northern Pakistanis aka Punjabis. Growing up, I thought California seems to have the more attractive girls given how rich the community out there has been from the get go.

The figures in Wikipedia are not official but that’s the best I could find. Regarding the breakdown of where in Pakistan they came from it is hard to judge easily. Pakistanis in North America tend to be upper-middle-class and very uniform in culture, so in any given gathering it is hard to figure out where they came from unless you ask.
