The US policymakers looked confused me according to the way they handled Afghanistan. Their policy kept shifting from complete eradication of terrorists to nation-building to supporting certain a faction to get rid of a certain faction. At the end of the day, the military-industrial complex and contractors made immense wealth from this war in Afghanistan.Probably because NATO was held back from the scorched earth tactics that could be used, they had unreliable Afghan allies and they couldn’t attack Pakistan.
But Afghanistan a wonderful place now? You definitely go there instead of NATO UK because that low tech life works.
