For Zarthosthis Persian means pre Islam Persia.

Post Islam is Iranian.

This is like yogurt milk. My mum drinks this, personally don't like the taste, but it's supposed to be good for your health.

No one really thinks it's Azeri, Azerbaijan didn't even exist until 1918.

neither did iran. it was Pars and all areas in one. Lavash is all over the kavkas region - georgia/dagestan/azerbaijan etc.; armenians have a bad habit of hijacking items from other ethnicities.

Will be going to Germany next month and Turkish is the most easily available Halal food near me. May have to eat this for a week or so

Dont really like this pizza thing. I guess if the stop calling it a pizza i can forget about them missing cheese then and may be like it

Kuzu İncik is one of the best dishes from Turkey for me. That or just make do with a lamb or camel doner kebab.
Also if you know any Turks, please request them to stop making rice, they DESTROY THEM!!

Dogh is the other word. Love it. We make it fresh daily. In stores here it is called Amasi.

I found it was so so; nothing spectacular to write home about. Found it rather bland frankly. Instead, food in Jordan, Isreal, Azerbaijan, Iran is much better.

So funny that people don't know that Iran was pretty much always called Iran by its own people for thousands of years, Persia was just the name the outsiders called Iran because of the Greeks...
