This excessive character worship of personalities must end, esp of political leaders.

Our nation needs to be educated and realize these people are human beings like us.

We need to educate these people to have self respect that the people give power to politicians and just as easily can take them out. There's nothing wrong with kissing hands in itself. It's good to kiss the hands of elders, religious people, Ulama, saints, parents. It is mentioned that some Jewish converted Sahabah kissed the hands and feet of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم so even kissing feet is part of our Islamic tradition. We should revive the tradition of kissing feet of saintly people.
