Thats the place where Pakistan needs to work on. These laws aren't really enforced and typically not there. Pakistan banned some buses sometime ago, but they went on strike, and damaged the new buses. Its jahalat right there.

It is already in Pakistan, just on the major GT roads or hiways. Another way for police to extract money

Webby when i said rules are there,i dint mean it was implemented.if the police is running short of Montlhy collections then they do get on to the roads to fine for this offence,otherwise not.
And also In the state of kerala they banned from major towns Buses older than 15 years,there was strike and all stuff,but it withered off.There was no public support.
I think in Newdelhi too Supreme court has made LNG mandatory in Buses and Autorickshaws.

Sure in its there in New Delhi as well.
Ditto in Delhi. All old buses were booted of the roads. Couple of petitions in the High Court but they were rejected.
Its been so for several years now. All buses and autorickshaws are CNG bringing down pollution by over 50%. This was a very controversial move but the government pulled it off.

Yeah, in Delhi, you get fined for not wearing seat belts. It was actively taken up by the public also, when the Traffic Police started finining record no. of vehincles for non compliance! LOL.
As also the helmet. Now almost evrery motorcycle rider as well as pillion rider has to wear helmet. Exceptions only for sardars. Infact everytime i have gone on a bike without a helmet, i have goten challaned! LOL.
All busses and auto rickshaws run on CNG ONLY. It was very controversial, but the govt indeed pulled it off.
All the old vehicles were made to retire.
getting the pollution NoC is also necessary, if caught, the traffic cop asks for it, not having it is another dent to your pocket, so people always get it done, especially as it can be done in any petrol pump.
