Essentially this is the reason the turkish state is forced to sit down and negotiate with PKK and the Kurdish people leader whom they called a ''baby killer'' for 30 years. Indeed, the struggle for freedom was tough but the end result was worth it. Aknowledging our leader is a great step towards stability.

Secondly, if you want to, we can through it city by city in the Kurdish regions and we will quickly realize that PKK has the majority of support. I have done this with numerous turkish members on this board and they were all willing to aknowledge that indeed BDP/PKK had the most support among Kurds. Or you could just look at this map

Your point is invalid if you believe PKK ever wanted a civil war. You can read Ocalan's books as early as late 80's and mid 90's when the war was at its highest. Never once did he advocate a civil war. Even today, there is no question among most intellectual Kurds and Turks that Ocalan is the only reason there has been no mother crying for over a year now over the bodies of their dead sons. Even your deputy prime minister Atalay admitted this.
