WE have to ask ourselves some Hard Questions here :-
Is the pain they feel any less when we attack them with latest gadgets and weaponry than the pain we feel when they attack us with crude bombs and rifles?
Are their women, children, the old and the young any lesser human beings that they can be slaughtered, maimed and wounded with impunity, than us and our allies the Americans?
What gives America & the PA the moral high ground to rampage through Afghanistan and Pakistan killing grounds?
Was it not Pakistan that threw the first stone at the Taliban?
Why now, is it so wrong for them to hit back for their own survival?
And indeed why is it wrong for them to accept outside help in their sheer desperation – Just as we Bengalis did for our own survival back in 1971?
Why Zardari did not ratify the treaty reached with the Islamists in Swat?
Why was it necessary for Zardari to order the assault on Swat from Washington?
If we can answer any of the questions above with any degree of coherence – then only it would seem fair to say that this 'War on terror' is justified.
As I have mentioned to one of our colleagues here that there was no way open for Musharraf to join this coalition in a war that should never have been a war in the first place. That is if he is a 'Muslim' as also for Zardari to follow him in his footsteps.
Read the Quran – 'The Quran' does deal with clarity on this issue.
You now have Rulers who are not even Muslims – how do you at all claim to be an Islamic Republic?
And let me also tell you clearly and without any doubt that – those who are killed fighting your own brothers in faith who in turn are just fighting for their own survival, that they are not 'Shaheeds' as you term them.
Your concepts are all skewed up – a distraught and confused people you all are. And stop this 'Fitna' that you yourself have started before it devours you.
The 'Quetta Shura' as is reported in McChrystal's document is not even based in Quetta. It is an elusive group that moves around all over Pakistan. So how does the drone attacks now demanded for Quetta, in pursuit of the Taliban and the Shura, end in Quetta?
Of course America is training more drone operators than ever before, because Pakistan is big target area itself.
And don't tell me that drones are only operated out of Bagram and bases inside Afghanistan – even if they were – is the PAF completely 'Drone Blind' unable to detect and intercept such intrusions into its airspace.
This is not all about the Taliban – the Taliban are just the lead -in to larger issues at Play here.
