Right wing parties are on a significant rise. A lot of tabus have been broken. Hatred against Muslims is becoming not just more normal, but even more acceptable.

I fear that Muslims residing in the West will find it harder to just go on about their lives normally.

Our own countries are either corrupt or lack opportunities. Now the west is also turning against us. We're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I see things getting worst rather than getting better. Muslims, in general failed to change and progress with time.

If you preoccupy yourself with politics, then yes it seems bad. In person though it isn't that bad. I don't about Europe but there are many kind people in the states. And the discussion regarding this issue is open at colleges and universities. No one is afraid and suspicious of each other anymore. A lot of the young adults here have different views than what is portrayed on US media.

That being said, people don't like religion and see it as backwards. Especiallly our religion. There are still many people that come to our defense when such incidents occur like this.

To be honest though, I don't like that. I want it to get worse so Muslims can learn to rely on one another rather than stay divided. It creates unity sadly only temporarily. If it gets worse to point where some people begin packing and leaving or begin getting deported than the Muslims overseas will realize that it's a problem and focus on it rather than focus on competing against each other. It's only way to change our people.

So while these attacks are shocking and counterproductive in short term, in long run they have benefits.

But its still scary that people are now generalizing, and saying discriminating things about Muslims in general (because of the actions of a few), when vast majority of them are law abiding citizens and just want to go on about their lives.

They want the world to hate Muslims, so that normal Muslims will be more likely to fall to extremism, and to prove that they were right after all. That's their entire mission.

What you see as something scary is actually greatest thing to ever happen to us. Mark my words. These incidents are part of larger picture. There are people in control of the world and they have wronged others for all this time. Only way you can provide rights and security for your people is to stand up to them. Some people think we are falling and will go down like Africa. The opposite is true. Our rise is beginning. And hopefully western Muslims book flights back home. The world is changing fast and this is an opportunity to acquire our freedom. The hatred reached its peak long ago. Most people have gotten used to these incidents. If it's already screwed up we can afford to screw up it more and seize this opportunity to ovetthrow Our leaders and regain control of the Levant.

Yes, I know. Its really scary. Sverigedemokraterna (right wing Swedish party) has risen to record levels.

I have observed that Islamophobia, along with general xenophobia and openly voicing anti immigrant sentiments, are increasingly becoming more acceptable and mainstream in the UK, for instance, they tend to regularly feature during dinner time conversations in cozy champagne socialist circles (the ultimate bastion of political correctness) and this trend is only going to get worse with this latest attack. In my view, much of the blame for this rests squarely with the Muslims in the West due to their failure to integrate or stand up to extremists in their midst..

So what? Why are you so afraid? I hope they deport all Muslims. It is what we need. And after that they can't blame you for any problems.

We have a saying in Arabic:

خليها تخرب شو علينا

Let it screw itself even more. We have nothing to lose. There is a revolution on the horizon overseas and we should support it. Good tidings are ahead of us. In past when a denomination was demonized in this(rightfully or wrongfully) it was beginning of their golden age.

And the stage that is coming up is military stage. No civilzation has gotten to where they are now before using their military resources to exercise control over airspace, borders, canals, ports, waters etc... Of the region. Following that they enabled themselves to excel. We have to do same thing in the ME. We have to exercise control over all of Levant.

Its the same in Sweden. Here I think people associate immigration and Muslims. Its not immigration per se that they oppose in its entirety. They oppose immigration from Muslim countries.
It appears that the clash of civilizations is taking place.

If the Muslim communities themselves begin to police such people even within their localities, then the extremists won't last long. Within a decade the image of Muslims will have changed. But first, people have to report such suspicious ones living within their communities.
