Islamabad Airport is No Longer in the List of “World’s Worst Airports”
Every year, “Sleeping in Airports” conducts a survey asking travelers to rate their airport experiences based on the services and facilities available within the terminal, cleanliness, customer service, comfort and their overall airport experience.
Those that are included in the category of 10 ‘Worst Airports’ of the world secure the most negative feedback from voters. These airports fall flat in terms of providing any kind of enjoyable overall airport experience. Instead, they’re dirty, uncomfortable and unfriendly and lack the most basic of services and amenities.
Benazir Bhutto International Airport at Islamabad has been in the list of the ’10 Worst Airports in The World’ since 2012 when it was ranked the 3rd.
In 2013 it ranked 4th Worst Airport and in 2014, it secured the number one position and was categorized as the “Worst Airport in the world”.
Just recently, however, Islamabad has been excluded from the list of 10 Worst Airports.
CNN also covered the report with the lists for worst and best airports in the world. And the list for “Worst Airports in World” now doesn’t include Islamabad Airport.
Civil Aviation Authority is claiming that removal of Islamabad Airport from the Worst Airports’ List is due to its dedicated and consistent CAA efforts.
CAA said that Proactive campaigns promoting CAA facilities, new initiatives, safety, security and customer satisfaction has ensured improved ranking of BBIAP Islamabad.
Not to mention, CAA is also aggressively working on New Islamabad Airport, that is definitely going to up the standards that current airport has to offer.
