I will consider Mr Athar Abbas true until India reveals evidences against ISI involvement in 26/11 incident.

. . .
wont change the scenario much.

No it wont except that there will be more pressure on Pakistan. India will go on the diplomatic offensive full hilt and if the evidence emerges from a U.S trial , it can't be just dismissed as Indian Propaganda , not in the eyes of the international community at least.

Of course the flip side is that is the ISI is absolved of charge , then we can do little about it. So the events hand in balance.

Take it this way, Americans have accused ISI too many times for having its links with Talibans, in fact they claimed to be having immaculate evidences.
Nothing happened afterwards, what I perceive is, ISI can not be discredited until USA has some interest associated with it, and ISI has to do a lot for USA for another decade.

Yeah, right.

Who, exactly, does the ISI report to? Who can dismiss or promote its officers? If an officer has a complaint, who can he take it to? Nobody answerable to a democratic process, is that not so?

Interesting. At the end the ISI claims the drone strikes put a strain on the military, yet the generals themselves speaking separately support the drone strikes. This indicates that the ISI isn't just an auxiliary service, supplying intelligence to its putative superiors, but instead it is acting as an independent branch of government, less accountable to its bosses than the Soviet KGB was to the Politburo. Woe for any country that is at the mercy of its spooks!

Agree with you nothing will change on the geo-strategic level. U.S- ISI relations will remain ( since U.S is dependant on it for their strategy to succeed) , but as of now Headley has revealed next to nothing that indian agencies have not known prior. Rana ,if he publicly testifies against the ISI/Pakistan Govt will turn a large number of Indians(Civilians /Polity /strategists) against any reconciliation with Pakistan in the future.

Those who lives in glass house should not throw stones at others. CIA supplied wrong and falsified Intel on which Whole IRAQ WAR was based.
Later it was admitted by your politicians as well Mr. It means CIA acted rouge and provided wrong Intel to start a war intentionally.

How much CIA is accountable to Government? Your Senate committee on Intel matters asked them to provide Guantanamo detainees interrogation movie and they said, we have erased the whole data.

Countless examples exist how CIA acted own it's own.

It's your habit. to jump into wagon and start shouting your extremely biased one sided, biased, distorted propaganda, forgetting what your institutions and government are doing.

How many Indians have reasons to believe that ISI undoubtedly is responsible for 26/11?. I assume, not less than 99.99%. So my point is even in these circumstances both parties completely or partly agree to go ahead with negotiations. In my opinion even a pro Indians verdict will not halt resumption of dialogues, yeah it can delay a little. Its USA, actually to decide our relations, and Mr Rana is facing a USA court.
You and I know it very well what our intelligence agencies are doing against each other.

I never saw any Indian official (or anyone else) coming out of any corner just to clear the position on allegations of India's support to Baloch movemment, when not asked about it. That is simply because Pakistan has not produced a single proof that shows the connections.

The same goes with the ISI, and India too has failed to provide a solid proof that could, beyond doubt, prove ISI's connection with 26/11. Then why every now and then some Pakistani official (retd. or serving) should come out and tell a tale to just to show how the ISI is not connected with the incident? They just should not care.

Retired! AAh the plausible deniability. The unshakable belief that murder can be gotten away with.

Close your eyes, don't read any newspapers (not even JUD fund raising ads), be happy.

NO links to terror groups..??????????

i can give u links which says isi have relations ........

Every agency has links to proxy groups, and CIA and RAW are no different. But is there any specific evidence that implicates that ISI was behind the Mumbai attacks? How come every time we raise the question of providing evidence, you Indians have nothing to say back and side track the question by engaging in straw man fallacy.
