Geo news is reporting that ISI cheif Gen. Pasha has refused to meet American General and Richard Halbrook.

he should have met them, and threw the aid agreement papers at their faces.

hence good news anyways.

This is excellent news:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:
Is he defiant in not meeting the americans or is he trying to hide behind the skirt to skirt the main issue :smokin: remains to be seen

It is a protest against the allegations made by americans!!!

Interesting, OP could you update us with a link when you get the chance.

He's an officer of your Armed Forces isn't he? He's not showing much discipline if he talking to the media indicating that he can do as he pleases. If Gen Kayani or your President orders him, who is he to disobey? If true this development kind of encapsulates the problem you people have with your Agencies.

He would only do so if he gets permission from General Kiyani as he is COAS and the current ISI Chief is close friend of General Kiyani.

He had the full backing of the army cheif and according to some sources Kiyani also conveyed some similar sort of message to the americans, and Not to forget the foriegn minister.

Kiyani's recent defiance against Zardari's efforts to stop Long-Marchers was unprecedented in country's 61 years long history. He definite broke the chain and got closer to people's heart. And Pasha's action would further bring Arm Force + ISI closer to mass's wish.

Some context around this news.

Kiyani and Lt Gen Shuja met with the US side, however a 2 on 1 meeting between the US side and Lt Gen Shuja Pasha was rebuffed for all the inappropriate mud-slinging going on in the US.

Source is Dawn news (live).

Obviously Kiyani had a say in this matter and rightfully so too.

That remains to be seen if he had any orders from the PM to meet with the Americans in the first place. Americans tend to do pretty much what they want and meet who they want in Pakistan.

I'm not sure if its the right time to be protesting, he should have met them and counter argued Pakistan's case.
