It's a JH-7B, which made its maiden flight around 2007~2008 and is currently still in testing.

It's a dual-seat dual-vertical-stabilizer stealth strike fighter, which the designer has described as "completely reborn".

How many stealth Jets projects are there, its a pretty waste of money, Twin projects is more then sufficient similar to US. Rest it is a great wastage focus should be on those other projects.

China is currently not going down the F-35 path of trying to develop a plane that fits all mission profile, so you are likely to see dedicated stealth air superority and stealth ground attack planes, and naval versions and VTOL . Once there is enough experience they will try to make an all-round plane.

I personally think that besides developing a dedicated stealth air to air superiority fighter that would serve as the "spear tip" of the PLAAF, China should also develop "stealth" versions of J-10s and J-11s (in the spirit of the silent eagle). This will offer a cheap (relatively speaking) ugrade for the Chinese air force so it could hold its own against the regional air forces when they induct large numbers of F-35s.

Agreed J-10B/J-11 or (E/F) semi stealth versions should be developed beyond 2015 and the types of airplanes must be trim down to 4 types, if you look at PLAAF and iaf both are messed up somewhat.
