AIM-120 is definitely the high-end of the BVR AAMs. However I do not believe PAF will integrate US origin BVRAAM on Chinese aircraft. The Americans would not be willing. I would hope PAF press on with the MBDA MICA integration with the JF-17s.

Murad said is nicely. A platform is just the carrier. The moment the missile becomes active it has nothing to do with the flying performance of the host. All matters is launch speed, distance, agility and ability to get decent midcourse data but it is the missile that has to do the job. Then it matters whether it kills or not.

Yup the Aircraft doesn't matter in BVR engagements, but the Aircraft's Radar does.
