Is Pakistan a soft state?

USA is a superpower. Even Japan, Germany would cow at feet of USA so please don't bring that into it. We are talking about internal security and stability. Specifically keeping the capital of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan secure from Muslim mobs of JUI-F and Mullah Diesel secure.

lol. But seriously do you see my point. You think mobs could do threaten Modi in New Delhi, or Erdogan in Ankara, or MBS in Riyad, or even Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka leave alone Trump, Putin or Boris in Washington, Moscow and London?

Excuse me? What and who is Super Power? A country whose men can't even control when death takes over them? Or the Creator who asks but faith and who decides the victorious and the defeated?
Cowardice is what makes a fool out of you people by bowing to every little power on Earth and fearing them.

I dont see what the problem is. They are allowed free protests under proper governance. As long as they harm no one or cause any damage then the state should respect their rights to protest. Speaking of those leaders and their respectful countries, then they are to do the samething unless they become facists. Like modi

Very true,

What's wrong with this or do not have the ability to comprehend basic English? Creating usability or causing damage is against the law and they will be cracked down upon, otherwise they can protest in peace because that's their right.

Yes. The question here I want to ask is Pakistan a fragile, banana, weak state? Right now we have couple of thousands of rowdy JUI-F supporters in H-9 Islamabad threatening the removal of a elected PM into one year of his term with four years left. The article from Dawn got me thinking.

"A massive crowd of tens of thousands of charged men exactly 7km from the Red Zone facing nothing but empty containers constitutes a huge existential problem. The police? Ah, well how many policemen armed with how many batons, equipped with how many tear-gas shells brandishing how many shields do you require to stop the 7km march by tens of thousands of men?"

So the question is 7 Kms separate Mullah Diesel from PMIK. How can the state be worried about not being able to secure 7Kms? Why is the police of riot police incapable of protecting the red zone? Is this what Pakistan is? Mob rule? If you can get a mob then you can charge the red zone? We saw something similiar with TLP Rizvi doing the same thing some time back.

Can we please secure Islamabad before we secure the blue seas. If money is a issue sell some navy ships but for gods sakes raise at least 20,000 man riot police force with dedicated water cannons, equipment and training. Is this to much to ask?

It is impossible to complate mobs threatening Washington, London, Paris, Moscow, New Delhi or Ankara in Turkey. And they would not need the army to handle this threat. India has CPRF, Turkey has Gendarma etc.

Situations like this paint Pakistan as a weak and fragile country.

Just preparing the ground for martial law again, the only danda that the awam obeys.

Actually, I would argue that military governments have been even more fragile then civilian governments. If you look at how Mush sold Afghanistan, parceled NWFP to MMA, gave Karachi to Altaf Bhai it all points to extreme weakness born out of having no legitimacy or mandate. The strongest governments we have had and have were Ayub Khan's dispensation and I believe what we have now.

if Bajwa took over he would be weaker then now. With PMIK we have significant political mandate coupled with the military. This gives the present dispensation the backbone and possibly the last chance to sort out Pakistan's structural problems.

The PMIK - Bajwa combo is the dream team for Pakistan.

Tho in theory I am in favor of coups in certain instances eg Korea and Turkey ,Pakistani coups have always in long term have been a failure Ayub the longest was more successful he was suave statesmen no doubt he managed to be close to the Yanks yet also maintain good ties with USSR and Red China domestic wise je pushed heavy dose of nationalism he could have been out Ataturk but he failed in uniting the masses and as result we got opportunists blood suckers like Bhutto and Maudaudi later on same with Zia and Mushy the Sharif and So called Islamists took advantage so no coups will rectified tho Inside sometimes I wish it would occur but history states otherwise Its good civlian and mil are working lockstep we need that to continue

Coups are good only if someone like Nawaz Sharif or zardari is ruling
I think Imran Khan is better than generals and all previous dictators
Zia ul haq removed Bhutto and imposed an incometent and corrupt Nawaz Sharif on Pakistan Zardari is also product of Zia's coup

.
One is where a pig known as Nawaz sharif instigated the masses against state for so-called Na Moos se Rislatwhich could have resulted in civil war and bloodshed for no reason !.

it was a fine move by pig traitor Shareef to create massive chaos until the States institution took proper measure.

Martial Law works only for a short time, but it leaves the country even worse off with bigger problems in the long run. It is never a solution.

Not always. I am sure you have heard of the Miracle on the Han River and the military junta that ruled South Korea from early 1960s to nearly 1980 and in that time transformed Korea from a third world to a nearly first world country.

The President who presided for 20 years over this miracle was a military general. Gen. Park Chung-hee. Compare the performance of the largest democracy in the world to the military junta in South Korea.

My comment was for Pakistan, but your predictable whataboutery here is not even amusing, since it shows just how pathetic our Generals are compared to Korean ones in achieving results beneficial to the country.
