So, according to the first link, the total debt has risen from 55,900 Million US$ on 30/6/10 to 60,000 Million US$ in exactly one year!!.

Maybe you misheard and what he actually meant was that they managed to pay 70% of the interest payments on the loan this year and not the principal amount....

The kalabagh dam, he probably meant is in the final stages of the planning and not the actual construction of the huge dam which they say would cost upto $1billion. Had they started the construction, it would be all over the news...but its not.

The economy grew very very fastly during previous military government. You can read all about it in the Economic Survey of Pakistan. You can get it from any good book shop.....it will give u details on economy for past 10 years or so...During those years, pakistan's credit rating rose. Loans were renegotiated ( rescheduled ). new factories setup all over the country and foreign investment came in ( even though its bad in the long term, but its a sign that the economy was growing which we are arguing ). That triggered a boom in the real estate and banking sector....

The person u talked to can only talk ****....cannot be trusted. Dont give him any of your money.
