Think of it in any possible way, like,
- Would you rather live as a rich guy in 3rd world country or a middle class guy in 1st world country
- An educated guy in an illiterate village vs a mediocre guy in a big city
- A small apartment in posh area vs a big house in outskirts of city.
- Having a lead role in Pakistani film industry vs a small role in hollywood

Discuss.

A bigger pond if made up of worthy people offers u healthy competition and shows u ur true worth.

As of house it has to be huge; always. Film industry then hollywood is not my taste plus look at kumail ,how the guy mocks his faith n country of origin on talk shows to gain acceptance.
Hollywood is a nasty corporate that u once get into (which in itself is too hard) it eats u up. But i am a good actor when it comes to local pakistani content, so if ihave to pursue an acting career then iwill go pakistan way.

So the choice is all relative. And man being a rich person in third world country brings tonnes of benefits and perks.

. .
for one i can live in both no issue
for two i will love to be more and more educate
i hate apartment life i love big open house
i dont want any role in movie i will better select having library

A big fish in a small pond, you already dominate the small market. No growth. So not good for a person who seeks growth.

A small fish in a big pond, every big fish want you dead. They want to eat you and throw yoh out from the competition. I this scenario you learn survival techniques. So, huge growth and room for learning.

A big fish in a small pond is destined to suffer stunted growth and competition.
A small fish in a big pond has much space for growth.

Obviously this won't apply to all scenarios in OP, which is why this is dumb.

A rich guy in a third world country can make a big difference is he utilises his wealth in a proper way....while a middle class guy in a rich country won't be able to make much difference to the society but his own life will be peaceful.

An educated guy in an illiterate village vs a mediocre guy in a big city
This question does not make much sense to me because illiteracy has nothing to do with the size of the city as I am both Lahore and Karachi have higher percentage of illiterate people than many villages...My parental village near Multan has some of the best educated people including PhDs, medical doctors...except a few very old people, everyone is properly educated.

And here in Sweden we have 100 education so regardless of the city size everyone is educated. But I personally like to live in a village, closer to nature and away from the noisy life of a metropolis.

A small apartment in posh area vs a big house in outskirts of city.

Right now I'm living in Stockholm, despite being the largest city (around 2.25 million people in its 6526 sq km of metropolitan area which gives a density of 336 people / sq km) has a lot of greenery and open spaces ...comparing it with Lahore which packs 11.13 million people in a smaller area of 1772 sq. km so giving it a density of 6280 people / sq. km), Karachi has almost the same density as Lahore...

Compare your first comment with your second. Just like a rich guy can make a difference in 3rd world country, an educated guy can make a difference in some backward village too by that logic.

Real estate value. An apartment in posh area in Karachi costs 2 bungalows in outskirts of the city or 1 bungalow in middle class area.
Similar case would be if we compare living in some big city vs small city.

______

Anyway, OP were just some examples to make a point. Feel free to come up with your own examples like being self employed vs working in some big firm etc.

And what if a person already lives in a villa (bungalow) in a posh locality?

Hmmm..... *speechless*
That's because your options were very limited and simplistic...did not cover all possibilities.

Compare your first comment with your second. Just like a rich guy can make a difference in 3rd world country, an educated guy can make a difference in some backward village too by that logic.
But as I already said if everyone is already educated in the village?
