Is is good to buy Dell D600 Notebook?

I need expert opinion form you guys am going to buy used Dell D600 Latitude should i go for it?

Configuration is

Processor 1600 MHZ
1 GB DDR RAM
40 GB HD (enough for me )

its old launched in 2003 i guess
am confused please advice me should i buy it is their any problem in this model of dell?

My Advise don't go near it, rather invest in a used Acer or Lenovo laptop you'll get it cheap and in comparable price.

I am a long time Dell user but I have already set a timeframe to replace all Dell Notebooks by 2013 to Samsung Ultrabooks, even if Dell releases Ultrabook by then, I would not be interested for certain reasons.

Dell is really a very good brand as compared to Lenovo and Acer.Though the configuration you have mentioned is not impressive at all,I would suggest you to look for better configuration. Dont go for Lenovo as it is the worst laptop i have ever used.

well conf is not bad for me i can upgrade it as its easy & Lenovo is not a famous brand in Pakistan....

we have Mac, Acer, Hp, Dell, Toshiba, Sony, Fujitsu in Pakistan

Acer is good I cannot say it is a bad product (except battery dies fast 5mth-8mth). Lenovo is a far better product and comparable to Dell, Price is healthy as well.

$111.00 is nothing go for it 9600/- Rupees you may have to upgrade Memory. But I would also suggest to research you might find a slim Acer for around 25000/-, dell is Fat!

Here is my Dell Studio 15 (1558) Purchased in 2010 for $933.00 and turnout to be a rubbish.

It over heats, it freezes, shuts down, too much fan noise, problem is design flawed. So its useless sitting at my desk I don't even bother to turn it on my money gone wasted.

Thanks for advice but where i can get a good condition used laptop withing the range of 25K in karachi any idea?
i think going to markets will not give good results as far as used portables are concerned.

If you want to buy a computer, then go for Mac's 'Air'. Its not bad. Its comparatively cheap also. I own a Mac Pro, but i have seen Air from friends and i find it great, as powerful as mine.

My personal advise i been working around computers since i pretty much started working... dell is good for more of office even decent in latop use but in laptops i recomend Toshiba,Sony and HP the rest is up to you bud good luck .
