yes there can be hindu buddhist, confusious extremists.
it is a different matter that being an islamist extremist, you would believe that your religion is better than the other. because islam says so. likewise a hindu extremist will believe what hinduism says something. here lies the difference in what the religion preaches.
still different from a terrorist. he does something. it isn't the same...anyway i'm saying the same thing over and over again.
1. See, that's where they are wrong!! Why do these idiots assume that people following different religions (paths) worship a "different fellow"?LOL the guy is not able to tolerate others worshiping a different fellow.................and people like me who worship only themselves
give it a rest,,,lets not talk philosophy,,,he may have wanted to say religious fundamentalist...Actually no, taking a religion too extremely would also mean that Buddhist and Hindu Monks are also extremists, following a religion down to the letter does not make one an extremist, what makes one an extremist is saying that my religion is the only religion that is good and I am better than everybody alive because I am of that religion, also it does not have to be a religion, it could even be a video game, if two gangs went to a knife fight on the street with Call of Duty extremists on one side and Battlefield extremists on the other, it is basically the same exact thing, hence why I said it is an idea, and the nature of what particular idea one is extreme towards does not matter. It is the idea itself that matters.
And wither I am a Muslim or not, I can only answer you this, I don't personally care.

2. Now thats more like it!!
if he do above all , that means he is a nice muslim .. and in order to be a nice muslim you have to be a nice human being ....
I have a lot of acquaintances in the food industry so even I have heard of such things but afaik according to what they have all told me they are 100% sure poultry labelled as halal is halal but not so sure concerning red meat, so Allahu alim.
If the things mentioned in the list go to someones head, and make him/her believe that he/she is the man-of-God and others are inferior, then for sure he is an extremist.
And I tell you what, a majority of practicing Muslims does indeed think like that. I have seen this tamasha particularly among those who live in abroad, and do manage to follow all good deeds, yet consider others (that very much include fellow Muslims) inferior humans. I remember a friend of mine in States, whom I used to know from my days in Aga Khan University (where I used to teach). He invited us for a lunch, which we gladly accepted. He picked us up from our place, and chatted with both me and my wife (who does not cover her head), during 30 min drive. Upon reaching his home, we learned that his wife wont come in front of me. My wife took lunch with his in the kitchen whereas we had it in the living room. We later invited them several times but he refused to accept our invitation suspecting that we were not cooking halal (zabeeha) in our kitchen.
No he is not..As a Hindu I dont think he is....To me he is a religious person and that's it!....But if the same person who is so religious tells me that I am wrong with my beliefs and preaches his beliefs to me and encroaches on my belief and would call me names because of what I believe..then He is a religious extremist...From what little I know of Islam..Islam is a peaceful religion if practiced the right way...the same applies to the people who follow any religion..be it Hinduism, Christianity..etc..etc...To me personally religion is a relationship with you and God..there should be no third party involved...My 2 Cents.I saw a guy once and he does the following actions:
The same guy believes in the following:
- He bears witness that there is no god but allah and that muhammad is his messenger.
- He prays 5 times a day.
- He pays his zekat.
- He performs the hajj.
- He fasts in ramadan.
Is this guy a religious extremist?
- He believes in allah.
- He believes in the angels.
- He believes in the books sent down by allah.
- He believes in allah's prophets.
- He believes in the last day.
- He believes in destiny.
Terrorism is just an expression of extremism, regardless of what side it comes from, that's why I hate an Atheist extremist who has gone to hate all form of religion and advocates its inferiority as equally as I do hate Islamic sheikhs who give a fatwa every two days and talk about how great their religion is and everyone else is inferior. They are both the same to me.
Maybe you are not reading my replies correctly, I never said there is no such as Islamic terrorism, I do apologize is my vocabulary to complicated for you? Well any of my other Indian friends care to translate it to him please?
No action is ever derived without thought.
First of all gentile is a Jewish name for people like you and me, second the reason why non-Muslims do not attend madarsas is because the education taught in such places are either sub par or are entirely religious in nature so who would want to send their children to such places? Even in Pakistan those who can afford it prefer to send their children to private schools, only the poor are forced to send their children to madarsas or worse government run schools.
You should dumb it down a bit.

We = muslims specifically.
I make no bones about it and no one should.
This is the most important form of terrorism globally(well apart from USA of course) and people are just not willing to confront it.
If u think there is no problem then,well the debate is over
This is an example of the kind of thing that makes religion ridiculous to me.
@Mosamania
You will get this kind of a position when people without a sense of history enter this kind of discussion. He has no idea that Islamic terrorism is a recent phenomenon.
