Iraqi forces 'launch major Kirkuk operation'

. . . .
The Kurds need to stand firm in their own areas and not let the racist sectarian regime bully them with their bully neighbouring states. Freedom comes at a price. It is nit going to be easy but it will happen. Kurds are unique people in the madness that is middle east with all it's sectarian and ethnic bullsh!t and it sbould remain that way. Let the Arabs, Turks and persian fight their sectarian and ethnic wars.

I agree, the Lurds have suffered too much , first under Saddam, then because of ISIS and now the Iraqi government, I am surprised that the peshmerga let go of kirkuk so easily, lets hope that they put up a fight and prevent the iraqis from getting any further, they deserve their own state, but unfortunately they have been betrayed by the west( which termed then as their "most reliable ally in the middle east").Lets see how events unfold.

Edit: I meant "Kurds" instead of "Lurds" in the first line, I apologise.

If we would only look at Saudi's performance. Oh wait.

Pretty much every competent Arab force in the region is either trained, advised or allied to Iran. You trying to paint this as some kind of Arab victory is the most laughable thing I've read in this thread. It has been Iran who propped up Baghdad's defenses when IS stood at the gates of the capital. It has been Iran who set up Hezbollah and Iraqi Shia militias, transforming them into effective forces.

That is why all the Kurds are crying now that Qasem Soleimani has unleashed his proxy forces at them, begging for American help.

Either way. Iran has out manevouered the western-led project to turn the entire region into small sectarian and ethnic enclaves.

This victory belongs mainly to Iraq, Iran and Turkey. The losers are the Israelis, Americans and Gulf Arabs.

Sure my Kurdish friend. What I see is an Arab army and militias spanking your Kurds. Your imaginary Iranians are nowhere to be seen.

Yes, KSA is the only regional country that has been able to almost single-handedly control 90% of a country the size of Iraq and Syria put together (Yemen) with minimal casualties and no more than a few 1000 troops. A country notoriously difficult to conquer and control due to its mountainous terrain, how most cities are built in Yemen and the rebellious nature of the locals. In a different league compared to Iraq and Syria historically.

Nice joke. Sure, expect for the fact that the Iranian Arab Mullah's ruling Iran have only managed to train Hezbollah (their main proxy) and a few Iraqi Shia Arab militias.

Expect for the fact that the Iraqi army and groups in the PMU allied to Baghdad are doing all the work, thus there is no Iranian involvement.

Sure, KSA/Arab states are somehow "losers" in an imaginary world because a fellow neighborly Arab state (Iraq) is retaking Iraqi land stolen by a bunch of Kurdish terrorists. That's also why King Salman publicly stated when he visited Putin in Moscow almost 2 weeks ago about the importance of Iraq staying a united country. That's why the Saudi Arabian chief of staff visited his Iraqi counterpart not long ago and why there were rumors that they had discussed the retaking of stolen Iraqi land.

Let's not forget that the US/West sold out your Kurds as usual. Just a little "tiny" detail to remember before you start having too many delusions of grandeur when it comes to your sanctioned and impoverished Mullah regime.

So the only losers that have been ridiculed by the entire world yet again are Kurds and as usual the Iranian Mullah fanboys want to take some credit when there is none. Similar to how they hilariously claim to have saved 15 million big Baghdad from a few 1000 ISIS members which you yourself alluded to.

@TheCamelGuy

Great to see operations beginning and succeeding in Nineveh and Diyala as I alluded to and strongly voiced the need for a few days ago. Not only of course. We discussed this already way back (2014). One good news after the other!

@Shapur @PakBlood , Kurds have equal rights under the constitution in any country, The problem isnt with the kurdish people, its their commanders and leaders who continue to steal land that is not theirs. Kirkuk also never belonged to the Kurds, it is officially outside KRG borders and they were illegally holding it. Thirdly, Birzani allows terrorists to use its territory such as the PKK to plan and attack and bomb Turkey, including civilian areas.

Obviously some kind of deal was reached with the leadership but the cowards on the ground are running after promising to defend the land lol.

Will be interesting to see if Iraq ventures further into Erbil.

@Sharif al-Hijaz , @Surenas can you trolls stop turning every thread into a sectarian Iran - Saudi sausage fest.

Look at this retard supporting terrorists.

The US has supported the kurds with one of the largest air campaigns and you say the West betrayed them.
