What's new

Iraqi Federal Court rules that Kurdish Regional Government’s oil & gas law is unconstitutional & that Kurdistan must turn over all oil & gas to Baghda

They're part of Iraq, but leech off Iraq and fight us. Even introduced a visa for Iraqis.

Iraq needs to rape Kurdistan now that we are getting back on our feet

Yep I too wondered why would they ask Iraqis to get residency cards and visas.

I think the common ordinary people here don't like iran much, Iraq can show some heart and easily address their grievances (nothing much except they want money and bit of autonomy and freedom).

The center doesn't have the power to enforce this verdict on the KRG, atleast not without destabilizing the entire country, which is what this ruling at this delicate timing intends to acheive.

The kurds were allowed to take much more than their fair share as long as they served Iran's interest, which their recent alliance with Shia cleric Muqtada al-sadr doesn't, thus this warning card.

As far as we are concerned we should push for preserving these benefits to the KRG, but this time, in return for their support in pushing the IRGC influence outside the country's borders.
lmao the center doesn’t have the power to enforce that rule?? last time iraqi army entered the north those kurdos put on their skirts and run faster then usain bolt

Well, seems Turkey is upset too because proceeding from sales going to Kurdish armed factions fighting in Syria and the Turkish border region. Plus they are consolidating their positions in Iraq too.
as far as i know turkey’s relation are good with them they buy a lot of oil from them.

Barzani clan and PUK, both strange families who practice incest and happen to have a low IQ need to be removed from rule.

Mustafa, Massoud, Masrour, Nechivrin (BARZANI) are all rulers in the gov and happen to be related. There are many more who I do not know of.

I say we give a phone call to Sultan Tayyip and erase the north, then we get drunk on Raki/Arak to celebrate.

Iraq missed the opportunity to take back Kurdistan 2-3 years ago, now unfortunately, I'm afraid it's too late ....

That's what happen when the central power in Baghdad have no balls ....

On the contrary, now is a better time, and the coming years are even better as high-oil prices help Iraq gain strength and its military is striking large deals.

2017-18 was a fragile time, just having cleared off ISIS.

.
That would make center look like a villain and common people will resent them more, it doesn't harm the ruling clans, but the ordinary people will suffer, the government servants here don't get paid as their government has this excuse that center is not giving money for our due share of the budget.
yea to manage a country is not easy in this case the center can say to the kurdos look your shit krg is unable to even pay your salaries rise up against them and before you know it you have kurdo spring and krg is no more.

I don't know but I feel bad for Iraqis who live in Arbil or pass through it having to face humiliation from Kurds.

I personally dislike Kurds, all the Kurds I met carry hatred towards Iraq, Syria and Turkey. They're usually anti-Islamic as well and tend to look like communist PKK monkeys. I believe that Kurdistan is too large and needs to be reduced.

When Iraqi forces took Kirkuk in 2017, I saw that a Kurdish flag was hanging on every street pole in the city. What a clown shitshow, who wants to live in such a retarded society.

Complete non sens, in 2017-18, you got the ascending with army and hashd Chaabi kicking Isis and winning all the battles, Turkey and Iran was backing Irak for intervention in Kurdistan, full support of Irakians, of course Gulf cucks were against the military intervention, and Baghdad regime and Irak lost that opportunity to set new rules on Kurdistan irak .....

So what do you suggest Baghdad does now with regards to KRG.

No such thing as a "lost chance", Iraq can do it again now. Shia militias have been droning Arbil for the last year and nothing is being done against it.

But if Iraq takes Arbil, what to do? All those Kurds will hate us and attack the army and police. The best is to take control of the KRG but to not enter its cities, let local Kurdish security govern the towns and have the Iraqi forces on the highways.

As long as Baghdad isn't United, Shia, Sunni, Baathi, .... bring even Satanists if necessary, nothing will be done

Once United, have the will to have Kurdistan reconquered and it will be done.

They won't unify.

I'm an outcast, I'm stuck in the 60s with my outdated Arab nationalist views. Iraqis shit on me and my views. Shias want to go to their Hussayniyas to cry about Hussein.

Iraq will still beat Kurdistan, but the Sunni-Shia divide will remain. They learned to live together and ally together somehow under the common Iraqi identity, but still hate each other

Let's just invade dohuk, push all Kurds to Arbil and make some deal with sultan Tayyip to share the north with them.

Or we can invade it all in the future, let's wait for some more weapon deals.
At this point of time, shifting focus to the KRG from the ongoing process to diminish IRGC influence is not in our interest.

In a post IRGC future, attempting to take direct control over all or any of the current KRG provinces would spark both international uproar (mainly US) as well as incur expensive ongoing costs to maintain control, also the last thing we want is a stronger Turkey so doing so may not be in our interest altogether.

Kurds have excelled in one thing, destabilizing their host nations, In Iraq we have already payed the price and the Kurds have their own autonomy while non of our neighbors have payed as much, as such they are now more of a threat to them than to us.

Staying in the current situation is not a solution either. It's just a ticking time bomb before Kurds make a next move on Kirkuk, either politically or militarily. I am aware that they cannot beat Iraq militarily, but the Iraqi army may be caught off guard, might experience a breakdown in local chain of command similar to that of 2014 or anything that is not too uncommon in Iraq which leads to failure.

If the PMU can escalate things with the KRG then the Iraqi gov can intervene and further its presence in the KRG countyside. PMU can be of good use to us, however it needs cleaning from the IRGC presence in it. Some commanders need to be dealt with in a similar fashion to Soleimani and Muhandis, the US helping here would be great.. as they can strike without the Iraqi gov being blamed for it by Iran/proxies.

The end goal is to return to the good old days where we saw our flag in the Qandil mountains. Using the Kurds/PKK/YPG against Turkey or anyone else is not going to help us, we see what they are trying to do in Sinjar, and we'll just see more Turkish bombing in Iraq. Not wise in any way to do that, it gives them an excuse to do even more.
