TEHRAN - Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, a top military adviser to the Leader, on Tuesday proposed a coalition of “Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and other countries” against the United States in West Asia.

“This coalition should be formed with participation of governments and nations in order to be able to act successfully against the U.S.,” Rahim Safavi suggested.

He also said that provoking division among countries in region is on the U.S. agenda.

“The U.S. has on its agenda to keep conflict centers and use them to provoke division in the region,” IRIB quoted Safavi as saying on Tuesday.

He noted that Daesh waged war in Syria with a financial and political support by the U.S., the Zionist regime of Israel, and some reactionary Arab countries.

“Daesh actions were mainly beneficial to security of the Zionist regime,” added Safavi, the former chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.

The general also said that the U.S. is promoting Iranophobia to achieve its political, economic and military objectives.

Elsewhere, he noted that the U.S. and Zionist regime’s powers are waning in the world.

If in exchange Iran allows Pakistan & Turkey to open up a super highway to connect our two great nations then I say go for it.

Iraq has the most potential in the whole middle east.
Not going to happen. You sound like you are still living in Saddam Era. Before Iraq can "catchup", other ME contries would have past her by a long shot.

Call it an alliance against terrorists(which US is a major one).
You're spot on. Just like KSA and GCC called their alliance against ME shiites "alliance against terrorism".

Iraq and Libya will catch up faster than you think they have most of the crucial infrastructure intact. Plus a good oil resources to develop again and fast Inshallah.

First of all brother, Iraq geographically is way different today than before. So pls realize that Iraq today is not the same united(under force) as under Saddam. Also, just face the harsh truth- Iran is not going to allow "arab", "stabbed me in the back before" Iraq to rise and rival her in power. Not going to happen.Libya? oh gimme a break. Libya's military under Gaddafi was kind of crap, it collapsed fast and had poor nonfunction AD during the attacks allowed by UN. ye they both have oil, but they will spend alot of it in repairing all the damages from war first.

Yes they will spend a lot in repairing damages. But Iraq is out of Arab influence I think and they are now making their own decisions.

I dont even see Iraq as independent anymore. Iran and US are in struggle for it and already control/ leverage her. Sad but true.

Pakistan do not make military alliances against any nation.
Iran is most welcome to join alliance against terrorism, in that case they can start from Chabahr.

USA will have to leave Iraq in the end they cannot stay there. They can control few political puppets but not for long. There are too many militias present and they are already threatening USA to leave.

First Iran needs to stop having bad relations with USA.

Iran has very bad bilateral relations with USA.

Iran needs atleast neutral relations with USA.

Iran is much weaker when compared to USA.

Iranians are very intelligent when it comes to foreign policy. Even with the limited resources they have, their mullah leadership has proven to be solid. Not sure about their internal strife and all of that, but Iranians know how to play a game of chess and they are very good at it.
